What better time to give yourself a boost than at half time. You set your goals in January and now it’s July, just like that. You’re possibly in one of two camps; either you’re super aware of how you’re tracking to plan or you’re completely oblivious and asking yourself if maybe you should have set yourself some goals.
It’s around now some honest reflection is required and I have just the thing. My Mid-Year Reflection Survey, which will give you an idea of just how happy and productive your year has been so far. To see the benefit you need to be completely honest with yourself, don’t let fear hold you back. Once you’re aware of what’s not going so well, you can fix it.
But before we get into that, here’s something to remember. Life isn’t just about the work it’s about so much more. What have you done this year to challenge yourself? To show others you care? To bring some love into your life?
So here we go…

- What was your biggest lesson this year?
- What’s the one thing you wish you could do more of?
- What’s the one thing you wish you could do less of?
- What’s the craziest thing you’ve done this year?
- If you had one thing to do over again, how would you do it differently?
- What are you grateful for?
If you want to go into some more depth, you can have a look at these additional questions for some added inspiration.
Once you’ve answered all the questions, think about what you want to focus on for the remainder of the year. It might even require that you rewrite some of your goals, or tweak them slightly. You may want to add a new goal or get rid of one that no longer serves you. Whatever you end up doing, I hope you’re feeling thoughtful and that some distant memories of what’s really important have been nudged into being again.
